Server performance

#1

Hello,
This is my first time to Autobahn. I was trying to implement video
streaming with websockets. I have done a protoype in node js, but I
had problems with hosting it. [I got free version to run, but the
scalability is pretty pricey.

For autobahn, I have few questions:
1) I looked at TestSuite report for Servers. It throws 404:
http://autobahn.ws/testsuite/reports/servers/index.html

2) I wanted to know if there are benchmarks of performance on various
implementations like AutobahnPython and Auto..JS?

3) Can I host Auto..Python/JS server on EC2?

Thanks a ton beforehand

Yes, I know. Need to update those .. got lost during a server migration .. rest assured though: Autobahn is 100% conformant

The 9.x tests of the testsuite reports give a rough estimate / relative comparison of performance .. Autobahn when running on PyPy is very competitive .. i.e. often faster than Java implementations. We started (bot not finished) integration with wsperf .. a WS performance probe implemented in C++ / WebSocket++ (https://github.com/zaphoyd/websocketpp) - using this to compare WS implementations would probably make most sense ..

3) Can I host Auto..Python/JS server on EC2?

Sure. Note that if using EC2 load-balancing, you need to do that on L3 .. the EC2 LB is not WS aware ..

Thanks a ton beforehand

You are welcome!
