Android browser support

#1

I’m trying to connect to Autobahn Python throw most known android browsers (builtin browser, dolphin hd, opera mobile, and firefox), and couldn’t establish a websocket connection. Debugging remotely with opera browser, I noticed browser throwed and Invalid State Error.

Does Autobahn Python support any android browser? I’m using latest version of Autobahn, 0.5.1

Yes, Autobahn supports multiple browsers on Android. Have a look at http://autobahn.ws/browsers

I’m using latest Autobahn version, and a modified EchoServerProtocol. It works on desktop browsers like google chrome and firefox (but not opera), but it doesn’t on any android browser. What can be wrong?

Try Firefox Mobile first, since that supports latest WebSocket protocol. Activate debugging output on Autobahn server side … see echo with logging example. And first try non-SSL …

I’ve tries latest firefox mobile beta, with the same result. The log outputs nothing, but a EchoServerProtocol.init is called, so the connection is started.

Sorry for the late answer .. was on a road trip. You can get detailed
log output on server side by providing "debug = True" to the factory
like so:

https://github.com/tavendo/AutobahnPython/blob/master/examples/echo/server.py#L45
